When to Connect Scenes
Connect scenes that your schedule carries as one strip, such as 163 and 168 in the same car. On a day where both are scheduled, the call sheet prints them as one row. Each scene keeps its own breakdown, pages and cast.
Linking on the Breakdown Sheet
Open the scene in Breakdown Sheet view. Connected Scenes is the wide box at the bottom.
- Click Add link. If the breakdown is locked, Edit Breakdown Data? asks first. Click Yes, Unlock Editing
- In Link to scene, type in Search scene number… and pick the scene
- The link is saved at once and shows as a blue chip with the scene number and synopsis
Unlinking
Click the X on a chip. With the breakdown locked, the X says Unlock to edit and opens the unlock dialog first. Removing the link on either scene removes it from both.
From the Stripboard
Right-click a strip. The menu lists Remove connection to Scene N for each existing link, then Add connected scene, which opens the same Link to scene picker. A connected strip shows a small link icon and the other scene numbers under its own number. Hover it for the list.
Movie Magic Strips
In Movie Magic, a strip can carry several scene numbers, such as 163, 168. Import that schedule, from MMS 6 or MMS 10, and G-Casper Pro makes a scene for each number and connects them all to each other. The import log counts them under Connected Scenes.
On the Call Sheet Front
When connected scenes are on the same day's scene schedule, the CS Front folds them into one row.

What Else Changes
A small link icon on the folded row says "Merged strip: these scenes share a scheduling strip". It is screen-only. The printed row shows just 163/168. In the scene picker on a schedule row, a connected scene has a blue link icon next to its colour. Picking it adds only that scene. Add the other one yourself. SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS BY DEPARTMENT groups connected scenes too. Each department gets one line for the pair, such as Sc 163 + 168, with both scenes' items listed once. If the two scenes' lists differ, each scene's own line follows. This happens whatever the Group shared items switch is set to. That switch, in Manage Departments, handles the other scenes: items used in two or more of them print once, as Sc 12, 14.
