Google Sheets Export

Send the schedule to a Google Sheet,
then keep that same sheet up to date.

Some of the office lives in Google Sheets and is not moving. G-Casper Pro writes the Days schedule, the breakdown, the BG list, the extras breakdown and Exhibit G into spreadsheets in your own Google Drive. Each one stays linked to the show, so when the schedule changes you update the sheet you already shared instead of sending round a new one.

Google Sheets export comes with every plan. It needs a Google account connected in your profile.

Five Things It Writes

The Days tab exports the schedule day by day, with a START DAY row carrying the date and call time, the scenes in shooting order, the lunch and company move banners in their colours, and an END OF SHOOTING DAY row with the day's pages. Unscheduled scenes go in a Boneyard at the end. The Breakdown tab writes a row per scene with every element category as a column, scenes coloured, headers frozen. The Background tab writes two: the BG List with phone, rep, SAG number and food restrictions, and the Extras Breakdown by week and day with the head count and approximate lunch count under each day. The top row of each sheet names the show, links back to it, and says when it was exported and last updated.

Linked Sheets You Update

Export New Google Sheet makes the spreadsheet and opens it in a new tab. From then on the menu offers Update Linked Sheet and Open in Google Sheets. Update rewrites the same spreadsheet at the same address, so the link in the production office's group chat keeps working, and the Exported date stays put while Updated moves. The update replaces the whole tab. Anything typed into the sheet by hand is overwritten, and nothing is read back into G-Casper Pro. The first export asks you to connect a Google account under Security & Connections in your profile, if you have not already. The spreadsheets are created in that account's Drive and belong to you.

Exhibit G in Google Sheets

Exhibit G goes out one shoot day at a time, filled into the SAG-AFTRA template and converted to a Google Sheet, with the minor, forced call and production type boxes as real checkboxes. Once a day has a sheet, Sync to Google Sheet rewrites the performer rows in place. Export to Excel is still there for a file you attach.
