Supported Movie Magic Versions
G-Casper Pro imports from Movie Magic Scheduling via two standard PDF reports from the software's Report menu. Since Movie Magic does not support the USS (Universal Scheduling Standard) export format, G-Casper Pro extracts all the data it needs from two PDFs that every version of Movie Magic can generate. No custom report templates or plugins required. G-Casper Pro is the first call sheet software that can import Movie Magic 10 schedules.
The Two PDFs You Need
Two PDF reports from Movie Magic, used together, contain everything needed for a complete import:
| PDF Report | What It Contains |
|---|---|
| Breakdown Report PDF | Scene numbers, descriptions, page counts, cast assignments, locations, INT/EXT, Day/Night |
| Shoot Schedule Report PDF | Which scenes are scheduled for which days, day numbers, shoot dates, shooting order |
What Gets Imported
When you import both PDFs, G-Casper Pro brings in:
| Data Type | What's Imported |
|---|---|
| Scenes | Scene numbers, descriptions, page counts, locations, INT/EXT, Day/Night |
| Cast | Character names, which scenes they appear in |
| Schedule | Which scenes are scheduled for which days, shooting order |
| Locations | Location names from the breakdown |
| Day Numbers | Shoot day numbering from your schedule |
Before You Import
