Importing from Movie Magic Scheduling

How to import your schedule and breakdown from Movie Magic Scheduling using two standard PDF reports.

5 min readUpdated February 2026

Supported Movie Magic Versions

G-Casper Pro imports from Movie Magic Scheduling via two standard PDF reports from the software's Report menu. Since Movie Magic does not support the USS (Universal Scheduling Standard) export format, G-Casper Pro extracts all the data it needs from two PDFs that every version of Movie Magic can generate. No custom report templates or plugins required. G-Casper Pro is the first call sheet software that can import Movie Magic 10 schedules.

The Two PDFs You Need

Two PDF reports from Movie Magic, used together, contain everything needed for a complete import:

PDF ReportWhat It Contains
Breakdown Report PDFScene numbers, descriptions, page counts, cast assignments, locations, INT/EXT, Day/Night
Shoot Schedule Report PDFWhich scenes are scheduled for which days, day numbers, shoot dates, shooting order
Tip: Both reports are standard built-in reports in Movie Magic - you do not need to install or configure any custom report formats. In Movie Magic, go to Report > Breakdown > PDF and Report > Shooting Schedule > PDF to generate each file.

What Gets Imported

When you import both PDFs, G-Casper Pro brings in:
