The Producer Dashboard

The shoot so far, the Overtime Cost Estimator, and the burn snapshot on one page, with each tile opening the tab it comes from.

Where It Lives

Open the Welcome tab and pick Producer Dashboard. On a phone the sub-tab reads Producer. The page runs top to bottom: the day, the shoot so far, the Burn Rate Snapshot, the Project Overview, and the activity feed. The dashboard is on the Producer and Company plans. On a shared show your own access level decides it: an AD-level member sees a lock screen, whatever plan the show is on.

The Day and the Overtime Cost Estimator

The top card follows one day. Step through the days with the arrows. It shows the date, any weather alert, and the basecamp and crew parking. The Overtime Cost Estimator shows what going long costs. The top row prices the day at straight time for Crew, Cast, BG and Total. Crew is the people called on that day's call sheet, or the whole crew list if the sheet has no calls yet. Cast is the performers in the day's scenes. BG is the background with a call time. Pick +1 hr to +4 hr under OT hours and it shows the extra cost past the scheduled day, split crew, cast and bg.

Tip: The estimator uses the same bands and rate fallbacks as Hot Costs. A line underneath tells you how many crew are on the fallback rate. If no fallback is set, they count as $0 and the estimate reads low.

The Shoot So Far

Before Day 1 the card is titled The shoot ahead. After the first day is done it becomes The shoot so far. A day counts as done once its date has passed, or today once the production report has a wrap time. The strip underneath has a square per shoot day, darker for more pages shot. Every tile opens the tab its number comes from.

Hot Costs to Date and Still Ahead

Under the tiles, Hot costs to date gives hours worked, scheduled hours, overtime and its cost, and meal penalties. It also lists the days that still owe OUT times. Each day is a link to its PR Back. Open All Days takes you to the full report. Still ahead covers the rest of the shoot: projected burn remaining, shoot days left, pages to shoot, the heaviest day, forecast wet days, and the next day's crew call.

Important: Overtime only counts rows with an OUT time. Until the 2nd AD has the PR Back filled in, the overtime tile reads low. The owed-days list tells you which days to chase.

Burn Rate Snapshot and Project Overview

Burn Rate Snapshot is the Burn Rate tab in miniature: estimated overall spend, the average per shoot day, burn by day, and the top 3 scenes. View full analysis opens the tab. Project Overview has six tiles and two weekly charts, Left to Pay by Week and Projected Outflows.

Important: The Daily Burn Rate tile in Project Overview is a straight sum of every crew, cast and BG day rate on the show. It ignores the schedule, fallbacks and P&H, so it will not match the Burn Rate Snapshot above it. Use the snapshot for the forecast.

The AD's Version

The AD Control Panel carries the same shoot card with the money taken out. Its tiles cover the biggest call, earliest call, longest day, pages shot, locations and background, and they do not open other tabs.
