Call Time Hierarchy
G-Casper Pro uses a three-level call time system:
| Level | Overrides | Example Use |
|---|---|---|
| General Crew Call | Base time for everyone | 7:00 AM for the whole crew |
| Department Call | General Crew Call for that department | Hair/Makeup called at 6:00 AM |
| Individual Call | Both General and Department calls | Lead actor called at 5:30 AM |
Setting General Crew Call
The General Crew Call is your baseline for the day:
- Go to your shooting day in the Days tab
- Set the General Crew Call time
- Anyone without a specific call time defaults to this
Using Relative Call Times
Relative call times keep everything flexible. Instead of entering "6:30 AM", enter "Call-30" (30 minutes before crew call):
| Entry | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Call | Same as General Crew Call |
| Call-30 | 30 minutes before |
| Call-1:00 | 1 hour before |
| Call+30 | 30 minutes after |
| Call+1:00 | 1 hour after |
- If General Crew Call changes, all relative times adjust automatically
- You can see at a glance who's early, on time, or late call
- Industry-standard format your crew already knows
Setting Department Calls
Some departments routinely need different call times:
- Hair/Makeup often calls early to prep actors
- Locations may need to arrive first to unlock and prep
- Catering needs time to set up before crew meal
Tip: Set department calls in the Crew tab by editing the department header.
Individual Call Times
For crew members who need unique call times, edit their individual entry in the Crew tab. This overrides both general and department calls.
