The Share Button
Sharing lives in the top bar of the app, next to the production name. Click Share, type an email address, pick a permission level, and send. The invitee gets an email with a link. If they have no G-Casper Pro account yet, the link walks them through making one and drops them straight into your show.
Four Permission Levels
Two questions are being answered at once. The tier decides how much of the show a person sees. The role decides whether they can change it.
| Level | Sees | Can edit |
|---|---|---|
| AD: Can view only | Call sheets, crew, cast, BG, schedule, DOOD | Nothing |
| AD: Can view and edit | The same | Everything they can see |
| Producer: Can view only | All of the above plus hot costs, burn rate and pay data | Nothing |
| Producer: Can view and edit | The same | Everything they can see |
Adds the money side: hot costs, burn rate, and pay data across the show.
The floor view. No money.
| Feature | Tab | You get |
|---|---|---|
| Call sheets, front and back | CS Front, CS Back | Open |
| Crew, cast and BG DOOD | Crew, Cast, Background | Open |
| SAG Exhibit G | Exhibit G | Open |
| SMS and email distribution | CS Front | Open |
| Hot Costs | Hot Costs | Ask for access |
| Burn Rate | Burn Rate | Ask for access |
| DOOD pay columns | Crew DOOD | Ask for access |
| Lodging | Lodging | Not on this plan |
| Transpo | Transpo | Not on this plan |
Who Can Grant What
Nobody can hand out access they do not hold themselves.
- The owner grants up to whatever their plan carries
- An editor invited at AD level can invite other AD-level members and no one above
- A Producer-level editor can invite at either tier
- Viewers cannot invite anyone
Working at the Same Time
Two people on the same call sheet see each other. Each person gets a colour, their name appears on the cell they are in, and that cell is locked while they hold it. The lock releases when they move on. Every saved change reaches everyone else on the show within a moment, without a refresh.
- Presence shows who else has the call sheet open
- Cell locks stop two people typing into the same field
- Edits broadcast to every connected member of the production
- Undo and redo are per person and cover your own edits
Changing Someone's Level
Open Share, find the person, and pick a different level from their row. It takes effect the next time their app talks to the server, which is within seconds. Raising an AD-level member to Producer is the fix for someone who keeps hitting the money wall, and it costs nothing.
Removing Access
Remove from the same panel. Access is revoked server-side straight away, and their session on your production stops working. A pending invite that has not been accepted can be withdrawn the same way.
What Sharing Does Not Do
A share gives somebody access to one production. It does not give them anything on your other shows, and it does not charge them anything. The show is billed to its owner, so what the owner pays for is what the show has for everyone on it.
