Collaboration Overview

G-Casper Pro lets your team work on the same production in real time. One person or a full AD department, everyone stays in sync without emailing spreadsheets back and forth.

Tip: Set up team access during prep. Getting permissions right before principal photography prevents confusion on the first shoot day.

Inviting Team Members

To invite someone to your production:

  • Go to Production Settings > Team Members
  • Click 'Invite Team Member'
  • Enter their email address
  • Select their role (determines what they can access and edit)
  • Add a personal message (optional)
  • Click 'Send Invitation'
Tip: The invitee will receive an email with a link to join your production. They'll need to create a G-Casper Pro account if they don't have one.

Role-Based Permissions

G-Casper Pro uses role-based access control to keep your production secure while enabling collaboration:

RoleCan ViewCan EditCan Send/DistributeCan Manage Team
OwnerEverythingEverythingYesYes
EditorEverythingCall sheets, Crew, Cast, ScheduleYesNo
ViewerCall sheets, ScheduleNothingNoNo
Important: Be thoughtful about who gets Editor access. In production, the wrong edit at the wrong time can cause confusion on set.

Real-Time Editing

Multiple team members can work on the same production at the same time. G-Casper Pro tracks every change and prevents conflicts:

  • See who else is viewing or editing the same section
  • Changes sync in real-time across all connected team members
  • Conflict resolution automatically merges non-conflicting edits
  • Version history lets you review and restore previous states

Activity Log

Every action in your production is logged for accountability:

When someone wraps or leaves the production, you can revoke their access immediately:

  • Go to Production Settings > Team Members
  • Find the team member
  • Click the menu icon and select 'Remove from Production'
  • Their access is revoked instantly
