What Are Custom Locations?

Productions often shoot at more than one address in a single day. Custom locations let you track every spot your crew needs to know about beyond the primary base camp and crew parking. Each custom location is stored as a structured record with a heading, address, and optional GPS coordinates, so it can be displayed on call sheets and used for weather lookups.

Preset Headings

G-Casper Pro provides common preset headings to get you started quickly. You can select from these when adding a new custom location:

  • Lunch - Where the catered meal is being served
  • 2nd Parking - Overflow or secondary parking area
  • 2nd Base Camp - Additional base camp for larger productions
  • Catering - Dedicated catering staging area
  • Extras Holding - Holding area for background performers
Tip: You can also type a completely custom heading if none of the presets fit your needs.

Adding Custom Locations

Navigate to the Days tab and locate the day you want to update. Custom location columns appear alongside the standard location fields. Click the + button to add a new location heading, then enter the address in the corresponding cell for each shoot day.

How They Display on Call Sheets

Custom locations appear as rows in the location section on the Call Sheet Front. Each location shows its heading and full address, giving crew members a clear reference for every spot they need to visit that day. On the Days tab, each custom location heading becomes its own column, making it easy to compare addresses across multiple shoot days at a glance.

Per-Location Notes

You can add notes to any custom location that appear directly on the call sheet. Use this for parking instructions, gate codes, contact names, or any other details specific to that location. Notes are entered inline on the Call Sheet Front page alongside each location address and render beneath the address on the printed call sheet.
