Exporting Overview

Sometimes you need paper. G-Casper Pro generates print-ready PDFs that look as good on the page as they do on screen. Export options let you tailor the output for daily printing, the director's binder, or your production archive.

Tip: Always preview your PDF before printing a large batch. That three-page crew list might look different on paper than on screen.

Basic PDF Export

To export a call sheet as PDF:

  • Open the shooting day you want to export
  • Click 'Export' in the toolbar
  • Select 'PDF' as the export format
  • Choose your export options (see below)
  • Click 'Download PDF'
  • The PDF opens in a new tab or downloads to your device

Toner Saver Mode

When you're printing 150 copies of a call sheet, ink costs add up. Toner Saver mode:

  • Converts colored headers to light gray
  • Reduces scene strip colors to subtle tints
  • Maintains readability while using less ink
  • Perfect for high-volume daily printing
  • Optional watermark for draft versions
Tip: Use full color for hero documents (production book, archives) and toner saver for daily distributions. Your budget will thank you.

G-Casper Pro optimizes PDFs for printing:

  • Bleeds and margins set for standard office printers
  • Fonts embedded so they print correctly on any system
  • QR codes sized for reliable scanning after printing
  • Page breaks placed logically (no half-empty pages)
  • Header/footer repeated on each page for double-sided printing

One Day at a Time

PDFs are exported one shooting day at a time, matching the actual production workflow. Each PDF is the complete call sheet for that day.

Tip: Export and save each day's PDF as you go - this builds your production book organically as the shoot progresses.
