What Are Cast Categories?
A category is an amber banner row on the Cast tab list. The performers under it belong to it. Use them for Series Regulars, Guest Stars, Day Players or whatever split your show uses. Inside a category, performers are listed by cast number.
Creating & Managing Categories
Everything happens on the Cast tab list:
- Add > Add Category creates one called NEW CATEGORY at the bottom
- Click a category name to rename it
- Each category ends in an Add cast member line that adds a performer straight into it
- The bin at the right of a banner deletes the category. Its performers stay on the list, just unfiled, and Ctrl+Z (Cmd+Z on a Mac) puts the category back with them in it
Tip: Categories stay in the order you created them. There is no drag to reorder.
Visual Organization
Performers with no category sit at the bottom of the list, below the last banner. Categories are for the Cast tab only. The call sheet does not print them.
