What Is the Exhibit G?

The SAG-AFTRA Exhibit G (officially titled the "Production Time Report") is the daily form that documents every cast member's work times, meal breaks, travel, wardrobe, and adjustments for a single shoot day. It is required on all SAG-AFTRA signatory productions and serves as the primary source of truth for payroll processing and union compliance. You can view or download the original blank form directly from SAG-AFTRA: https://www.sagaftra.org/sites/default/files/production_time_report_fillable.pdf

Production Header Fields

Before the per-actor rows, the top of the Exhibit G captures identifying information about the production and shoot day:

Tip: All header fields except 'Is Today a Designated Day?' are autodrafted from your existing Call Sheet Front and Globals settings. No re-entry needed.

Cast & Character Columns

The leftmost columns identify who worked that day:

Report / Work Time Columns

These columns capture when the performer arrived and when they were dismissed from set, hair/makeup, and wardrobe:

ColumnDescriptionAutodrafted From
Report - Makeup/WardrobeThe time the performer reports to Hair, Makeup, and/or Wardrobe (HMU)Auto-Draft Engine → Makeup Call (based on average HMU time from Globals)
Report - On SetThe time the performer is expected on set, ready to work (i.e., blocking/rehearsal call)Auto-Draft Engine → On-Set Call (based on blocking lead time from Globals)

Dismiss - On SetThe time the performer is officially wrapped from setAuto-Draft Engine → Lose At / Wrap time
Tip: G-Casper Pro calculates Report and Dismiss times using the scene schedule order, page counts, average blocking lead (from Globals), and each performer's average HMU time. These appear as draft values that you can approve or adjust.

Meals Columns

Meal breaks must be carefully documented for union compliance. Late or missed meals trigger meal penalty violations (MPVs):

ColumnDescriptionAutodrafted From
ND MealNon-Deductible Meal, typically a walking breakfast provided before the meal clock starts. Note: an ND meal does NOT reset the 6-hour meal clockCall Sheet Front → NDB/Breakfast time if configured
1st Meal - StartWhen the first meal break begins (must occur within 6 hours of crew call)Call Sheet Front → estimated from shooting schedule and lunch banner placement
1st Meal - FinishWhen the first meal break endsAutodrafted from 1st Meal Start + Lunch Banner Duration (from Globals, default 30 min)
2nd Meal - StartWhen the second meal break begins (required if working beyond 6 hours after 1st meal)Must be set manually or from production report
2nd Meal - FinishWhen the second meal break endsMust be set manually or from production report
Important: Meal penalties (MPVs) are triggered when a meal break is not provided within 6 hours of the call time (or 6 hours after the end of the previous meal). G-Casper Pro tracks these automatically in the MPV column.

Travel Time Columns

When cast members travel to or from a distant location, travel time must be documented:

ColumnDescriptionAutodrafted From
Leave for LocationThe time the performer departs for a distant shooting locationAutodrafted from Globals → Transpo settings (pickup time, drive estimate) when available
Arrive on LocationThe time the performer arrives at the shooting locationAutodrafted from pickup time + estimated drive time
Leave LocationThe time the performer departs the shooting location at the end of the dayAutodrafted from wrap/dismiss time
Arrive at StudioThe time the performer arrives back at the studio or home baseAutodrafted from leave time + estimated return drive time
Tip: If your production uses Transpo pickup times in the Call Sheet Front, these values flow directly into the Exhibit G travel columns.

Adjustments & Special Columns

The remaining columns capture additional pay adjustments and special circumstances:

ColumnDescriptionAutodrafted From

Performer's SignatureThe actor's physical signature confirming their reported timesNOT autodrafted. Must be signed by the performer on the printed form
Important: The Performer's Signature column is the only entry on the entire Exhibit G that cannot be autodrafted. Every other field is either fully autodrafted or pre-populated by G-Casper Pro.

How G-Casper Pro Autodrafts the Exhibit G

G-Casper Pro is the only call sheet tool that autodrafts virtually every entry on the Exhibit G. It pulls data from three main sources to assemble the form automatically:

  • Call Sheet Front: Shoot date, location, shooting call, general crew call, scene schedule order, cast call times, NDB/breakfast times, and lunch banner placement
  • Globals Settings: Company name, production number, production type, contact phone, average blocking lead time, average HMU time, average makeup removal time, wrap buffer, lunch duration, and Transpo/pickup settings
  • Cast List: Cast IDs, character names, individual HMU time overrides, and status codes
Tip: The Auto-Draft engine uses the scene schedule to calculate when each performer needs to be in makeup, on set, and when they'll wrap, based on page counts and configurable time estimates. Draft values appear at 50% opacity so the AD team can review, finesse, and approve each entry before printing.

Exporting for Payroll

Once the AD team has finessed and approved the autodrafted Exhibit G, the completed form can be shared with your payroll provider in multiple ways:

  • Print to PDF: Generate a print-ready PDF of the Exhibit G for physical signatures and traditional submission
  • Download as Excel: Export the Exhibit G as a structured .xlsx spreadsheet file. This gives your payroll provider clean, tabular data they can import directly into their payroll system, no manual re-keying required
  • Sync to Google Sheets: Push the Exhibit G data into a Google Sheet for real-time collaboration. This is especially useful when your payroll company or accounting team needs live access to daily time reports without waiting for emailed files
Tip: Many payroll providers prefer receiving data as a spreadsheet rather than a PDF. The Excel and Google Sheets export options let you deliver exactly the data they need in a format they can work with immediately.

The Workflow: From Call Sheet to Signed Exhibit G

The typical daily workflow for getting the Exhibit G done:

  • Build your call sheet as usual: enter scenes, assign cast, set the schedule
  • G-Casper Pro's Auto-Draft engine calculates call times, HMU, on-set, and wrap times for every cast member
  • Review draft values on the Call Sheet Front (shown at 50% opacity) and approve or adjust
  • Navigate to the Exhibit G tab. The form is already populated with all approved times, production info, and cast details
  • Manually enter any remaining fields (stunt adjustments, tutoring time, wardrobe counts, designated day status)
  • Print the Exhibit G and collect performer signatures on set
  • Export to Excel or sync to Google Sheets to send structured data to your payroll provider
