What It Reads
Hot Costs works from the times on the PR Back. Each crew row's IN and OUT become hours worked, net of the meal. Hours past the scheduled day are overtime, and the MPV cell supplies the meal penalties. Nothing is projected from the clock: a figure changes when somebody types a time on the report. The tab has three views, Overview, Detail and All Days. Hot Costs: Overview, Detail and All Days covers each one and the arithmetic behind it.

Where the Rules Live
Overtime bands and penalty rates are set in the Hot Cost Globals block on the Globals tab, with a Crew column and a Drivers column.

Where the Rates Come From
A row is costed at the person's hourly rate from their crew record. With no hourly, their day rate is converted to an hourly for the scheduled day. With neither, the fallback crew day rate from Burn Rate is used. A row with none of those still counts its hours, but carries no money, and All Days counts it under Rows without a rate.
What It Does Not Do
Hot Costs does not detect meal penalties from the meal times. The AD records them in the MPV column and Hot Costs prices them. There is no golden time rule and no what-if projection. For a what-if on one day, the Overtime Cost Estimator on the Producer Dashboard is the tool.
